The wonder years
The Greatest generation
***
This album is one of the best albums I've heard in the longest time. I've listened to TY since they first started, and it's like listening to them grow up. Their albums have went through; I'm just a kid, to I'm growing up out of high school, to I don't want to grow up, to their newest album which is all about having to grow up and move on. This album was true perfection and really relates to the people in my generation whom are looking for some more adult style pop punk. This album comes out May 14 and I recommend for everyone and their brother to buy it and listen to it!
THE PATIENT WILD
ACROSS THE BOW
My ears and soul had the pleasure to hear THE PATIENT WILD'S masterpiece "ACROSS THE BOW" (their debut EP). TPW is an Acoustic/Folk/Rock band, from the Berkshire area, with a truly unique sound. Their music is mellow, easy going, and makes you want to break out and dance to their good-feeling sound. I even found myself dancing to "Gifts of The Sea", the Second track on the EP. I can tell this band is definitely going places with their extraordinary music.
To describe their sound I say to mix Skinny Lister with Mumford & Sons. Their sound is as if those to bands made a love child. Or you could just listen to the EP yourself and be the judge. (Did I mention the EP's download is free?) Definitely a band to check out and start following, they're already one of my new favourites.

Conquering Rome
Dead Skin
***
It’s refreshing to hear this band's album. Conquering Rome is Rock/Pop-Punk/Post Hardcore band. In this type of genre its hard to find a genuinely good band for everything sounds the same. This is absolutely not the case with Conquering Rome. Between their instrumentals that give you goosebumps, to their lyrics that make you want to jump, dance, and scream along, they keep you wanting more. Normally with an album I choose which songs you should listen to and why. With Conquering Rome I have no reason to dissect all the songs because you have to listen to every one on the album, theyre absolutely bone chilling, in a great way.

Ballyhoo!
daydreams
***
This album was a true refreshing sound especially for the summer. This album got a mix of emotions out of me. Some of my favourite songs from this ablum were:
*Diamonds- Due to the relaxing calm melodie that was fun to listen to and was really chill.
*Walk Away- I've been waiting for so long for a band to do what Ballyhoo! has done in this song. They got down to the main core instruments that makes Reggae sound amazing. The entire song was wonderful.
*Bootleggers- This song, let me tell you is one of my favourite songs. Its upbeat, catchy, and by the second time I listened to it, I knew all the words. This song is the new soundtrack of my summer, and a MUST listen!
*Ricochet- Is amazing. The piano in the intro has an amazing melodic sound, that flows so well into the main instrumental. It's a calm sad song, that gives a sense of hope to the listener. It sounds so dear, and made me cry my eyes out the first time I heard it. Truly a touching song.
The other tracks on this album were your basic Reggae/ Rock. And, although they didn't stand out as much as the other songs, They were still really well done. I give this album an A overall. It is a must listen to. Go see Ballyhoo! at Warped Tour, and also check out the album Daydreams.
